Johnny Depp : A Famous Non- Oscar Winner

Born to John and Betty Sue Depp, Actor Johnny Depp is one of the most versatile actors of Hollywood. Depp was merely interested in music but later at the age of 20, he had his first lead appearance in horror film Nightmare on Elm Street. Then he took acting lessons which paid off with his successful hits like '50s-kitsch musical Cry-Baby’, ‘Edward Scissorhands’, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End’ and ‘Alice in Wonderland’.
Johnny Depp engaged himself in self-harm, started smoking and experimented with drugs because of family problems at a very young age.  But his acting career began flourishing and attaining critical acclaim for his work. Some of his other notable characters were ‘Don Juan’ in the movie Ed Wood’ ‘Captain Jack Sparrow’ in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ and ‘undercover FBI agent’ in ‘Donnie Brasco’. He was the box office star with films like ‘The Astronaut's Wife’, ‘Once Upon a Time in Mexico’ and ‘The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.
Depp earned more than 10 award nominations, including both Academy and Golden Globe nods for his role of Peter Pan in the movie ‘Finding Neverland’. He was best known for his role of Captain Jack Sparrow in all the parts of Pirates of the Caribbean.  
His personal life has not been a very successful one. He was in a relationship with waifish supermodel Kate Moss and then after parting ways he was linked to co-star Amber Heard. After shaky relationship with Heard, he dated French actress, singer and model Vanessa Paradis for fourteen years and has two children from her.
