Carrie Fisher’s Daughter Billie Lourd To Join The Cast Of ‘Star Wars’

Talk about following your moms footsteps and how proud is 58-year old mother Carrie Fisher. Billie Lourd has decided that he will be joining family business by confirming that she will be joining the cast of “Star Wars.” By featuring in the movie, Lourd will be part of a franchise that propelled her mother to stardom.

The 22-year old Billie Lourd will be talking up the role of the daughter of Princess Leia in the upcoming film of the franchise, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”. If you happen to be a fan of “Star Wars” then you will notice that by playing that part, the 22-year old will be playing daughter to her mother’s iconic character.

Lourd confirmed the great news during an interview with Interview Magazine. She also couldn’t hide her joy and the fact that she will be featuring in the upcoming “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” movie which is set for December 2015.

“It’s been a secret dream of mine,” Lourd revealed when she was asked how she feels about starring in her first editorial feature. Also during the interview, she did reveal that her parents were at first not that happy about her taking up acting and even discouraged her.

“My whole life, they said, ‘Do not act. You need to get a college degree.’ I went to performing arts camp, secretly taking classes—I got the lead in the musical, and my dad was like, ‘Wait, I thought
you were going here for music and knitting.’”
